THE NECESSITY OF NET NEUTRALITY FOR TRANSLATORS

One of the agencies I work with as a professional simultaneous interpreter called me yesterday to go to a congress on Net Neutrality, which gave me the possibility to inform you on the problems that translators woud face without a free access to the Internet.

Imagine that I had to go to a congress on vaccines or to a congress on finances....you will all agree that I need the Internet to research on the topic, to check specialised dictionaries, to know the terminology, in order words, to offer a professional translation.

Dear friends, without a free access to the Internet, I simply would not have been able to go to the congress on Net Neutrality and offer a professional translation or help the public understand the topic professionally; without the access to the Internet that we enjoy today, the job of translators and interpreteres would be in real danger.
