Comcast blocks OpEdnews.com Newsletter from Subscribers

Comcast until this morning, Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2010 has approximately for about a week and one half, blocked all mass e-mail newsletter message distribution from OpEdNews.com. OpEdNews.com reports on stories that the MSM or mainstream media doesn't cover. Stories on corporate wrong doing, corruption, anti-war protests, environmental activism, grassroots organizing, book reviews, interviews, speeches, analysis and editorials and entertainment from a broad range of progressive, liberal and left perspectives. So it must of have been something about the "Net Neutral" Movement, the fact that Comcast paid people to take up seats at a hearing of the FCC, so members of the public couldn't hear, ask questions or give testimony on proprosed rule changes effecting Internet access that Comcast didn't like. So much for freedom of the press, freedom of speech and freedom of association. I have filed a complaint number 10-100189689 with the FCC, the Federal Communications Commission. The FCC probably lacks jurisdiction under present law to regulate this and even if it did, probably wouldn't do anything. But I felt compeled to state it for the public record this egregious violation of my Constitutional Rights and violation of our democracy by their corporate greed and monopoly power. I am also notifying my members of Congress, Congressional, Senate, State, County, Township government officials and other citizen advocacy or watch dog groups of this event.
