Preach it!
I've grown up with the internet as a tool to help me understand and learn about the world, often by showing me points of view and ideas that I'd never even heard of or considered; and I love the ability of the internet to produce creativity, free speech and change. The very power of the internet lies in the freedom given to every individual to access the sites that interest them and the information that they value, without the mainstream tendency to appeal to the lowest common denominator.
Nothing could do more harm to this diverse repository of both popular and obscure knowledge and beliefs than to give corporations, which already have the ability to appeal to consumers on an even playing field in the medium they now seek to dominate, the power to control which sites are most easily accessed. Please protect net neutrality. I don't really see how we could get along without it. And I hope future generations never have to.
