PeoplePC Auto Disconnect Code

I have very few options for service in my location. PeoplePC bought the internet provider Everyones Internet Service.I had paid one year service with EV1 when I was notified of the switch.

PeoplePC disconnects my Dialup connection every 4 hours. This is wrong. What gives PeoplePC the right to intentionally interrupt my work on the internet.

I called and asked the FOREIGN tech consultant about this issue. Their reply was because the dialup is MORE vulnerable to hackers than a DSL connection which is OPEN all the time. I asked if I was able to Opt-Out of the auto disconnect and was denied. They insist the Code cannot be changed.

How could you work if your connection was interrupted before you.

Net Neutrality is essential to free speech, equal opportunity and economic innovation in America. Since the FCC removed this basic protection in 2005, the top executives of phone and cable companies have stated their intention to become the Internet's gatekeepers and to discriminate against Web sites that don't pay their added tolls.

This fundamental change would end the open Internet as we know it. It would damage my ability to connect with others, share information and participate in our 21st century democracy and economy. The FCC must ensure that broadband providers do not block, interfere with or discriminate against any lawful Internet traffic based on its ownership, source or destination.
