A free internet is essential to depth of culture

I believe that the Internet is the one last frontier of true free speech in a modern world where for one to have his liberties taken in the name of profit margins and national security is the norm.

It remains the only place where there is true equality between ages, sexes and races - and this is not least because of the high freedom and relatively low financial costs. With a few major private telecommunication companies in charge, we will witness a transformation of this into the pumping of consumers wallets whilst simultaneously crushing the freedoms of the web.

Consider that the introduction of the internet has been revolutionary world wide, and is the fastest growing medium ever. Consider that this success is due to it's freedom and variety , born out of a worldwide interconnection of millions of people.

Then consider the change of moving the internet from the hands of the people to the hands of a few fat-cats in a boardroom, and notice how the internet will fail to prosper.

Yes, the economy has its price - but so does freedom and the protection of the constitution. Save net neutrality.
