Net Neutrality or Hidden Taxes?

My cousin is visiting me from England. "Why is sales tax added only when you purchase an item?" he asked me. "So that way you know how much you're paying," I had replied.

Allowing network providers to prioritize network traffic based on revenue is, in effect, a hidden tax. Degraded service can cost users dearly and limit consumer choice. Worse, this cost will be hidden from all but the most technologically savvy of consumers. Most are likely to blame other entities who did nothing wrong.

Please preserve Network Neutrality and an open and free Internet.
