An Internet for Everyone
The Internet has been around all of my educated life. It has always been a free, open, equal source of information & entertainment. It was a magical place where anyone could be famous, if they had good enough material. And I could be a part of it!
So I was absolutely shocked and appalled when I found that this automatic equality, NEUTRALITY, could be taken away. That is a fundamental principle of the Internet! Just imagine if some company, Kodak, for example, were to make it more difficult to use their cameras, unless you took pictures of certain famous landmarks. That would be absolutely ridiculous! And the internet is no different.
By limiting the speed and ease of access to only certain information, these big companies are INFRINGING OUR FIRST-AMENDMENT RIGHTS! Preserve Net Neutrality, they way Tim Berners-Lee intended it to be.
