Keep The Net Free

The internet is the one place left where the big companies can't rule us and MAKE us listen to things we don't want to see or bother with. What right do they have to direct what we see and look up on the net? They have no right and they should never have that right. Free speech, free press, freedom, is all part of the internet and part of the American Way. I don't want a large company telling me I can visit certain sites- sites bound to be their own so as to get them more money. They have their spots on the web and they can leave it at that.

The net has always been controlled by the public and we've done a good job of it. We complain finding explicit material was too easy for kids so now sites are not only required to state you must be 18 or older but more and more are having you to sign up and pay, keeping it controlled.

Art, games, talking with friends, talking with people from around the world and connecting with them is immensely important. A controlled internet would stop that. An internet where you have to pay disgusting amounts of money just to get certain site 'packages' wouldn't do that. They've done it TV already and now half of what you hear are commercials. Who likes commercials?

Please, please do not let them take out Net Neutrality away. Don't let the corporations with their big gongs override what the American People want. The guys with the most money do not get more rights and they do not speak louder or have more right to be listened to then the common American. We are the people and we have a right to a free internet.
