The Airwaves are History, Save the Internet
I can still remember when broadcast media had some sense of responsibility, not to mention a Fairness Doctrine that required it to be balanced. Largely due to "deregulation" by the FCC, network news shows focus on self-promotion, sensationalism, and trivia. Edward R. Murrow is spinning in his grave.
Today, the FCC is proposing action that would lead the Internet down this same path. Without net neutrality, the only means to find out the other side of the story presented by corporate media will be lost for most Americans.
Preserve net neutrality and invest in High-Speed Internet infrastructure so all Americans have access.
