Single Mom Supports Her Kids By Internet Games

Net Neutrality is essential to small entrepreneurs like me. Because I was able to create my website, www.RedwoodGames.com, using my sweat equity, I was able to sell my children's educational games, Math Rescue and Word Rescue. The income from selling the games I created has supported me and my 3 children for the last 15 years.

I am living the American dream because of Network Neutrality. And my games have been used in thousands of schools all over the world. It was win-win. The schools and parents benefited because I could sell my games without the overhead of packaging, wholesalers and retailers. I won because I was able to make a good living. The difference between receiving $12 per game vs receiving a few cents per game for retail was the difference that allowed me to support my family.

Net Neutrality allows the American Dream to be lived by moms like me. Please don't cut off this opportunity for those who come after me. Without net Neutrality, my little website would have been consigned to oblivion because I wouldn't have been able to pay the fees the ISP's want to charge for fast connections.

If you get rid of Net Neutrality, the Internet becomes just a giant advertisement controlled by the Telecom Companies for the benefit of whoever has the most money to give them.
