Education Needs Free and Open Access to the Intern

I've been using the internet in a variety of ways with my college classes for just about a decade. The quality and speed have improved greatly and I am able to communicate with my students easily and effectively.

My students use the internet for pleasure, but they also use it to obtain course material, to do research, and to make their efforts public.

It is absolutely vital for education to have inexpensive access to the basic infrastructure of the 21st century. Please don't turn the internet into a commodity sold to the highest bidder.

Free Press is a national, nonpartisan, nonprofit organization working to reform the media. Through education, organizing and advocacy, we promote diverse and independent media ownership, strong public media, quality journalism, and universal access to communications.
