Innovation Not Legislation; Neutral Not Neutered
Because the large telcos and cable companies cannot innovate as well as they lobby and legislate, they are trying to use their political power and money to take away the freedoms of everyone else.
Small business will be crushed. Innovation will wither on the vine. Free speech will be trampled. Economic prosperity for this nation will languish as a fundamental resource (networking), which should be encouraged and supported by the Federal Government, is transformed into a neutered toll-highway that works only for the benefit of wealthy corporations and the product culture.
Freedom isn't a product. Democracy isn't a product. Innovation, discovery and sharing are not products that citizens should buy from large cable and telco companies.
I am sending this letter to stand up for what is right. I want my voice heard. And I want a free and open Internet -- a neutral 'net. That is the only Internet that will enable our country to prosper on the collective genius and effort of it's citizenry. It's the only Internet that will serve as a educational resource like none we've ever known. Your support for a neutral 'net will help America avoid obsolescence.
Thank you
