Save Network Neutrality
I'm more than just a concerned citizen... I've been an internet user and entrepreneur for years, slowly and surely building my own business on the internet, and building a career in writing and life coaching that simply would not be possible if it were not for the freedom of the internet. All of this has been possible due to what's known as Net Neutrality... a basic protection of my rights which the FCC removed in 2005.
I'm deeply concerned that senior management at communication companies are planning to control the internet, and most likely heavily discriminate against all the web sites that don't pay into their internet toll-ways.
While many Congressmen and women may not fully comprehend the significance of network neutrality, it's something that will basically signal the end of the internet as we've come to know and love it. No longer will people be able to find my writing, my coaching, my web site... because only the more corporate-oriented sites will be listed first... and slowly and surely, all the "little" sites like mine will fall off the pages into obscurity.
Please prevent the McDonaldization of the internet... please help keep the internet free for everyone to use equally.
