Not Interested in the Radio and TV Model

If you look at the landscape today of our media outlets they are in a constrained and commercialized arena. Giant corporations that feed us limited content by the same producers from coast to coast have nationalized both TV and Radio. This is why I can hear the same 10 songs on any radio station from LA to New York. The Internet is the only communication medium where the playing field is still open and free. The open Internet has inspired millions to begin business and personal ventures in this free environment.

I sincerely hope the FCC understands allowing the telecoms to control the Internet is limiting the American people's freedom of choice and ability for small business to be economically viable.

Free Press is a national, nonpartisan, nonprofit organization working to reform the media. Through education, organizing and advocacy, we promote diverse and independent media ownership, strong public media, quality journalism, and universal access to communications.
