Protect Internet freedom — FOR THE PEOPLE!

If a corporation could make the air we breathe into a better quality of air, should they be allowed to own it and charge us as they see fit?

Don't you think that if the FCC wants to change this fundamentally free internet system, then we should AT LEAST have the right to vote on it? Who gives the FCC that right? It was never specified in the FCC's official powers at the onset of the FCC. This is nothing more than an unfair ASSUMPTION of power.

FOR THE PEOPLE, BY THE PEOPLE, is how the internet should remain. Net Neutrality is TRUELY essential to free speech, equal opportunity and economic innovation in America. ACT like you are representing people rather than corporations! The FCC could be changing the way the ENTIRE WORLD connects. No-one gave the FCC that right.

The FCC must ensure that broadband providers interfere with or discriminate against any lawful Internet traffic based on its ownership, source or destination. Anything less than Net Neutrality is a shameful power-play for greed and money, and does not represent a free democratic society.

Free Press is a national, nonpartisan, nonprofit organization working to reform the media. Through education, organizing and advocacy, we promote diverse and independent media ownership, strong public media, quality journalism, and universal access to communications.
