We, The People will bypass attempts at control

History has shown that attempts to restrict free speech are doomed.
Stalin tried it.
Hitler and Mussolini tried it.
In Argentina, the military disappeared dissidents and still, the people will inexorably enforce their right of free speech.
Any attempt by Congress, ATT, or Verizon to control the internet will only result in their making themselves increasingly irrelevant and unprofitable, just like the media losing money today for printing lies, half-truths, and distractions like Paris Hilton.
The American people know when they're being lied to.
A smart strategy would look at enabling this cataract of energy rather than trying to dam it up.
