Net Neutrality Suports Good Educational Practice!

For my teaching, I rely on being able to utilize information from many sources that are directly accessible through the open internet. In many cases, people and/or groups with very useful information would not be able to pay more to participate in the Internet. I certainly would not be able to pay more than I am already paying. And I certainly don't want somebody else, or a commercial behemoth making arbitrary decisions, deciding what I can access quickly and efficiently, if at all.

I feel strongly that Net Neutrality is essential to free speech, equal opportunity and economic innovation in America. It is a basic civil rights issue that affects all of us.

This fundamental change currently sought by the largest phone and cable companies would end the open Internet as we know it. It would damage my ability to connect with others, share information and participate in our 21st century democracy and economy.

The FCC must ensure that broadband providers do not block, interfere with or discriminate against any lawful Internet traffic based on its ownership, source or destination. This is a democracy issue!
