Keep it fair
It is not fair that cable and telephone companies should control what services and websites I can access online. I don't understand how this is even under consideration in a country that highly values freedom of speech and the free market.
The internet is a good tool for information gathering, but must importantly for maintaining and creating links to people around the globe, such as friends, families, or just persons that share political and cultural interests. Discarding Net Neutrality damages my ability to connect with others, share information and participate in our 21st century democracy and economy. The FCC must ensure that broadband providers do not block, interfere with or discriminate against any lawful Internet traffic based on its ownership, source or destination.
Moreover, access to the internet is a problem. Telephone and cable companies give consumers limited options for internet connection. If we want higher speeds we are forced to buy bundles and commit to those bundles for a full year. It is not fair to consumers, we have no real options and we end up buying unnecessary services.
The idea that these companies already control my options for internet connection, and that now they will also control content is seriously disconcerting.
Keep it fair. Enforce Net Neutrality!
