For Once, Make it About the Public Interest

Not to be cynical, but jeez. We can do better than this. It's time to put the public's interest above the interest of corporations.

I volunteer for an organization, a community network, that works to bring the internet and web to our local nonprofits so that they can use technology to deliver much needed services to our community. If our nonprofits do not get easy and free access to today's most fundamental communications tools, they cannot do the vital and important work they need to do to build our community.
