Protect Net Neutrality

Net Neutrality is essential to free speech, equal opportunity and economic innovation in America.

As a curious and concerned citizen, I depend on the Internet for my news and research into current and historical events. TV, radio and newspapers are already nearly entirely controlled by corporate media. So if I want to know what REALLY happened in cases that corporations would prefer I not know, I turn to the internet.

I also stay in touch with friends, find original artwork, shop on Craigslist.com.

In my opinion the Internet is the last vestige of our vanishing democracy and it is imperative it be saved.

The FCC must ensure that broadband providers do not block, interfere with or discriminate against any lawful Internet traffic based on its ownership, source or destination.

Free Press is a national, nonpartisan, nonprofit organization working to reform the media. Through education, organizing and advocacy, we promote diverse and independent media ownership, strong public media, quality journalism, and universal access to communications.
