The power of the open Internet was on full display Monday as President Obama responded to questions from the public in a followup to last week's State of the Union address. And appropriately, one of the questions was about the president's support for the open Internet itself.

What I want to see happen is the allowance of the one place where America is still the country it's supposed to be. I want to see the internet stay accessible to everyone no matter race, creed, religion, gender, or paycheck. The internet embodies voice to the speechless. I'm not made of millions. I'm not an important voice to the people who run the country.
