Today the countdown begins. In exactly one year, thousands will gather in Denver for the largest and most dynamic gathering of media activists yet. That’s right — we are exactly 365 days away from the 2013 National Conference for Media Reform! We couldn’t be more excited.

We want to know: Will you be there? What are you looking forward to? And what can we do to make this the best NCMR ever?

There are hundreds of reasons we’re energized about #NCMR13 (ahem, just getting that hashtag out there early). Here are three reasons we think you need to be there: 

• NCMR is an event like no other. As a 2011 NCMR attendee put it, “I learned so much at the conference, it’s impossible to state it all … It is an experience I will carry with me for the rest of my life.”
• Our sixth NCMR will be the best one ever  We’re busy hatching plans for how to make this our most memorable conference — lining up inspiring speakers, organizing hands-on workshops, planning parties ... and much, much more. 
• 2013 marks Free Press’ 10-year anniversary.  It’s been 10 years of protecting the Internet, defeating media mergers, fighting for community media and working with all of you to build a better future. 

We’ll be celebrating all of this — and a whole lot more — in Denver next April. So share your ideas with us about how to make NCMR 2013 the best one yet. We want to hear from you!
