Well, theres nothing logical and/or argumentative that can be told to parley with such a brilliant, intelligent individual who has a great grasp on the subject at hand like Sen. Stevens.

Only thing that comes to my mind as on his excellent level of understanding of the subject matter is, "Mr Stevens is a series of tubes"

[...] HereThis guy is just shameless. And to think the future of modern communications is in his hands? Jeez. Sen. Ted Stevens’ desperation is beginning to show. With his telecommunications legislation in the DC doldrums, the good senator from Alaska has resorted to spamming his colleagues with phone company propaganda. [...]

[...] According to the most recent post on Save the Internet, Senator Stevens is spamming his colleagues in the Senate with Telecomm propaganda to try to get the 60 votes he needs to pass his flawed Telecommunications Reform Bill. This is the same Telecommunications bill that would leave enforcement of Net Neutrality in the hands of the FCC, an agency that has been outed by an FCC whistleblower, via Senator Boxer, to the Senate Commerce Committee recently, for hiding documents that show large Media Mergers in a very unfavorable light. This developing scandal might very well force some members of the FCC to resign in disgrace, depending on results of an investigation into the allegations. [...]
