Artists Get It

It’s not just Ask A Ninja and Alyssa Milano. More artists are weighing in on this issue, through MySpace, blogs, and other tools that depend on a free internet.

Boston-based rap artist Mr. Lif blogged about net neutrality today, and Save the Internet is on the news page of Alternative Tentacles. Internet freedom is about artistic freedom, creative freedom, and the freedom of expression. The artists get it.

One Response to “Artists Get It”

Someone (who knows how) needs to go to cafepress (or something of the like) and design t-shirts and bumperstickers that read, “SAVE THE INTERNET DOT COM,”right away. It can be the site’s banner design, but it needs bolder color, to be legible at a distance, such as black on white, etc. Maybe different designs could include an explanatory slogan, “Support Net Neutrality to keep the internet free!” or something to that effect. All the proceeds should go directly to support the net neutrality campaign. Also, it would be good to find a source for making and distributing yard signs. It’s important that all the designs direct people to one central hub: this site.

Not nearly enough people know about this issue, and there needs to be a meme - blitz, a spread-like-wildfire awareness campaign to bring people here, and to get their local groups and businesses to join. It needs to happen fast, like yesterday.
